Event Archive
Our Pack is very active all year-round. We usually meet once per month for a full Pack meeting, and we also try to make it to many of our District and Council events. Below is a list of events we've been involved with in reverse chronological order. We are very interested in getting more photos and video from anyone who has them, so please contact us if you have something o add to our collection.
2008
Knockin' 'em Down
November - Our Pack joined other Packs in the area for the Aquila District Cub Scout Bowling Tournament at the West Seattle Bowl.
Spooky...
October - Check out the fun pictures from our annual Pack pumpkin carving event.
A Beautiful Campout
October - We camped out near Mason Lake this fall.
A Great Start
September - We held our annual Pack Kickoff Meeting at Lincoln Park with games, snacks, hot cocoa, and a nice hot fire! We welcomed several new Scouts into the Pack and got to meet some new leaders too.
Part of History
September - Our Scouts were able to join in a unique rededication ceremony for the new statue of liberty plaza at Alki Beach. Take a look at this article, slideshow, and video from the West Seattle Herald.
Community Meal
August - Some of the Scouts and parents in our Pack met with Boy Scouts to help cook and serve food to people in our community.
A Great Sendoff
August - We finished off our 2007/2008 year with the beach, a barbeque, and boating with the S.S.S Yankee Clipper.
Scouts at Camp
July - We had another fun week at the Aquila District Cub Scout Day Camp.
Canoeing down the Street?!?!
July - We marched and represented Cub Scouts in the SeaFair West Seattle HiYu Parade. It was sunny and warm and the boys had a great time handing out candy to the parade watchers as we passed by. It was nice to meet up with other Packs and Troops and march together too.
Brinkley is Great
June - We camped out at Camp Brinkley for our spring Pack campout.
Hiking is Fun
May - Our Pack climbed up to Rattle Snake Ledge for a gorgeous day hike and lunch at the top.
Vrooom!
April - Another awesome Pinewood Derby is in our rear-view mirror. We've got some really nice photos and the final results. Thanks to everyone who helped make our Derby great this year!
Doing a Good Turn
March - We moved our Scouting for Food area to North Admiral this year, and we hauled in 1,076 pounds of food for the West Seattle Food Bank.
Showing Our Colors
February - Our first Blue & Gold dinner in the Holy Rosary School Hall was quite a success! Lots of great skits, food, and of course awards. We also managed to set a Pack record for raising Friends of Scouting funds.
Duty to God
February - Lots of Scouts earned their religious emblems of faith this year. We also cleaned up our school's playground.
Lovin' it in the Snow
January - Our Webelos Dens went to Ensign Ranch to compete in the District Klondike Derby. We'll have photos and results up soon.
More and More Marbles
January - Our Pack got together for our annual marble tournament. Now we're ready for the big District event in February.
2007
Popcorn For Our Troops
December - With the help of the West Seattle community, we were able to send popcorn to our troops in Iraq. Find out more here.
Getting Crafty
December - We got together to make Christmas ornaments for friends and family and we also found out how we did on our popcorn sales.
A Story for Everything
November - Roger Fernandes visited our Pack again to tell traditional Native American stories from Tribes in our area. We also had a visit and a present from some of our alumni.
Camping on the Water
October - We spent a weekend at Camp Parsons, which is the oldest Boy Scouts camp West of the Mississippi River, and what a cool camp it is! Check out these photos for a taste of the event.
A Great Start

We Owned Summer Camp!
July - Members of our Pack had an excellent week at Cub Scout Summer Day Camp in Burien. Special thanks to all the parents who volunteered their time at camp to make sure it was great.

Scouting for Food
March - We held our annual food drive to help support the West Seattle Food Bank. We collected food from the West Seattle neighborhood between 35th Avenue SW and California Avenue SW and between SW Myrtle Street and SW Holden Street. Click this link to find out how our service project went.

January - Both our Webelos Dens braved the snow out at Ensign Ranch to compete in the Klondike Derby. We've a photo gallery/summary page as well as a video to show how fun this event is.
Playin' for Keeps
January - Our Pack met to play a little Ringer. The Scouts played five games of marbles and kept all the "mibs" they knocked out. We're ready for the District Tournament in February!
Camp Sheppard Rocks!
January - Our Webelos II Den spent two nights at Camp Sheppard near Enumclaw. We had lots of snow this year, so we brought our Pack's new snowshoes with us and gave them a good workout. The older Boy Scouts and Venturing Scouts who run the camp were instrumental in helping us work through requirements for three activity pins, so special thanks to them!
2006
A Little Christmas Spirit
December - Our Pack got together to make Christmas ornaments. We made ornaments from fuse beads and pony beads. It is always amazing to see normally very active Scouts sit down and quietly focus on a craft project. We also had snacks and a visit from Santa Claus!
Stories and Popcorn Results
November - We met this month to hear Roger Fernandes tell traditional Native American stories, and we found out how much popcorn we sold. Click this link for photos and more info.
