2006 End of Year Party

Our Pack met at Don Armeni Park in West Seattle for a picnic, games, and a sailing cruise with the Sea Scouts from the SSS Yankee Clipper. We sold lots of popcorn this year and decided to use our hard earned money to end the 2006 year with a blast. The weather was gorgeous and the views from the park and the boat were beautiful. We setup our new canopies and let the Scouts play croquette, horse shoes, and other fun games while we grilled up a nice meal including lots of nice dishes brought by our families. The Scouts sailed in two shifts while back on land, we ate, talked, fished, and played games. We also had an award ceremony to recognize all the hard work the Scouts did all year long.

The Yankee Clipper is a beautiful boat with a great crew, and they showed our Scouts and their siblings a great time. It was fun to talk with the Sea Scouts and find out about how they run their program as well as see them in action. Our Scouts got to raise and lower the sails, steer the boat, and sail with the wind in their hair.
