2007 Pack Hike
What's the best hike for a gray and rainy Seattle Spring day? An "indoor" on of course! Our Pack drove up to Snoqualmie Pass to hike through the Snoqualmie Pass Train Tunnel in Iron Horse State Park. The tunnel was cold, dark, damp, and a little spooky, but also very cool.
We got started at about noon, popped out the other side, ate lunch, explored the waterfall and surrounding area, talked about the Ten Essentials, cleaned up the area, and headed back into the tunnel. When we got back to our starting point, we spent some time exploring the creek and woods, and even found a beaver home (we think). The trip was lots of fun and it was great to get outdoors even on a rainy day.
