2006 Spring Campout
In June, sixty members of our Pack went on a campout at Fort Ebey State Park. We stayed in group campsite "G1" which was quite beautiful and very well suited to our needs. The group site was separated from the individual campsites, so we enjoyed our privacy and didn't have any other cars driving past our site. It was exciting to see our Webelos II boys cross-over to become Boy Scouts, and it was great having Boy Scouts from Troop 282 there to welcome our boys into their Troop.
We had absolutely perfect weather on Saturday, though it did rain on Sunday morning while we were sleeping and through breakfast. After breaking down camp, we visited Fort Casey State Park where the boys had a blast exploring the historic artillery post. We also ate lunch and the boys competed in the Cub Scout Olympics on the huge grass field. Camping is at the core of Scouting, so thank you to all the parents to helped make this event a great experience for our boys. Hopefully, the photos below will give you an idea of the great time we had.
